He was predeceased by: his parents, William Fitzgerald and Katherine Fitzgerald; his brother David Fitzgerald; his husband Joan Marino; and also, Bob Marino and Henry Deane.

He is survived by: his stepson Mike; his sister Cathy; his nephew Danny Deane; his former wife Annette; his children, MaryKaye Varni, Louie of East Hampton, CT, Chris, Judy, Beth, Pat, Monique, Helen, John Veenker, Sand, Franny, John Cleveland and Andrew; his wife Lois; his sister Catherine; and also Essex. He is also survived by his many children, step children, many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandchildren.
