In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Emily Rounds had on those she encountered along her journey. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Rounds and Ruth Ayers Rounds. She is survived by: her husband George Mitchell; her children, Cristina (Roger Blumberg) and Peter Mitchell (Alexon Dos Santos); and her granddaughter Eliana Blumberg. She is also survived by her nieces and nephew.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home (48 Grand St, Niantic, CT 06357). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church (200 Hempstead St, New London, CT 06320).
