She was predeceased by: her parents, Laura Krusky and Nicholas Krusky; her sisters, Margaret Waddell and Marion Barker; and her former husbands, Carl Anton, H. Theodore Conroy and I. Everett Hunt.
She is survived by: her husband Gordon Backman; her children, Larry Conroy (Betsy) of Bethel, CT. and Sharon Vaghi (Paul) of Bethel, CT.; her grandchildren, Suzanne, Kristina, Joshua, Laura, Danielle, Sarah and Michael; and her great grandchildren, Olivia, Samantha, Theo, Lucas, Carter, Hayden, Maci and Mila.
