With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Francis Lockwood Sr. (Newtown, Connecticut), born in Sandy Hook, Connecticut, who passed away on November 12, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl M. Lockwood and Ruth Ingram; and his daughters, Rebecca and Cheryl. He is survived by: his brother Harold; his close friends, John Mesaric and Rob Mitchell; his wife Carol Lockwood (Skirkanich); his children, George F. Lockwood, Jr., Garret (Donna) and Karen Pratt-Szilagyi (Stephen); his grandchildren, Garret, Stacey, Emily, Adam, Jillian and Carsten; his sisters, Flo Erickson, Linda Barry (John) and Jean Knoche; his sisters-in-law, Jane Lockwood and Joyce Skronski; and his cousin Mabel Phillips (George). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
