Hegenauer (Newtown, Connecticut), born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, who passed away on February 28, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles J. Hegenauer Sr. and Emma Hegenauer (Hoff); his stepmother Anna Hegenauer (Wissmann); his wife Helen Gmiterko; and his sisters, June Giroux and Shirley Kelly.
He is survived by: his sons, Charles J. Hegenauer III (Althea) and William J. Hegenauer Sr. (Kathi); his grandsons, William J. Hegenauer Jr. and Thomas J. Maguire Jr. (Kat); and his great grandchildren, Draven, Xavier, Torin and Dante Maguire.
