He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl August and Helen Marie Schulz; and his sister Mary Fedders. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia; his daughter Eleanor Friedman (Nicholas); his grandsons, Charles August, Arthur and Conrad; his daughter Marta Goldman; his grandchild Lilliana; his son Joseph Schulz; and his sisters, Catherine Schulz and Susan Landis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
