He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Saxby and Bernice Saxby (Patridge); his former wife Miriam Sheptoff Saxby; his wife Janet Raber Saxby; and his brothers, Howard R. Saxby and David M. Saxby.
He is survived by: his sons, David Saxby (Mary Ellen) of Los Gatos, CA and Dennis Saxby of Santa Cruz, CA; his sister Marjorie Saxby; and his stepchildren, Deborah Raber (Devin) of North Adams, MA and Robert Raber of Vernon. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
