He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Blackler and Annie Blackler (O'Conell); his wife Joan; and his siblings, Henry Blackler Jr., Thomasine Olson and Virginia Shaw.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Edwin Blackler Jr. (Diane) of Overland Park, Gerrie Wood (Ed) of Piermont and Debbie Carpenter (John) of Newington; his grandchildren, Shawn Brown (Sarah) and Eric Carpenter; and his great grandchild Logan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
