She was predeceased by: her parents, James L. Varley and H. Elizabeth Selbie of Hartford. She is survived by: her husband James J. Merrick of Newington; her son James J. Merrick, Jr. (Catherine) of Stonington, CT; her grandchildren, Mackenzie and Ian; her sons, Sean V. Merrick of Ellington, CT and Liam P. Merrick (Wendy) of Annapolis, MD; her grandchildren, Jacob and Kylie; her great grandchild Jamie J. Bartone of Wethersfield, CT; and also, Griffin, Briley and Spencer.
