With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael P. Helechu (Newington, Connecticut), born in New Britain, Connecticut, who passed away on June 23, 2020 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Helen Helechu (Suchcicki); his parents, Nicholas Halaycio and Catherine Halaycio (Zahazewska); his stepfather Peter Bardeck; his children, Roger Maris, Michael "Mitch" W. Helechu (Dora) of Enfield and Marcyanne Belfi of Pembroke Pines; his sister Mary LeBrun of Ballwin; his grandchildren, Catherine Carlton (Benjiman) of Enfield and Peter Helechu of Newington; his stepgranddaughter Melinda Caputo of Enfield; his great grandchild Jacob; and his sister Olga. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
