We bid farewell to Katherine Fischer of Newington, Connecticut, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 8, 2025 at the age of 90. Katherine touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her father James Madden; her husband Thomas A. Fischer; her son-in-law Donald Courtois; her siblings, Teresa Oulundsen (George), Marion St. Pierre (Willard) and James Madden; and her sister-in-law Maria Madden.
She is survived by: her mother Veronica Madden (Matthews); her daughters, Debra Potter (James) and Carol Courtois; her brother Richard Madden; her grandchildren, Jessica, Jonathan McClintock, Caitlin, Christopher Lyver, Timothy, Ellie Potter, Kelly and Nicholas Coutant; her great grandchild William Potter; her sister-in-law Helen Madden; and her friends, Diane Tedeschi and Joan Nowicki. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and life-long friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home (34 Beaver Rd, Wethersfield, CT 06109). A celebration of life was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Augustine Church (10 Campfield Ave, Hartford, CT 06114).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners' Hospital for Children at 516 Carew St, Springfield, MA 01104, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
