Josephine M. Summa Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josephine M. Summa of Newington, Connecticut, born in Waterbury, Connecticut, who passed away on November 15, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Vito Summa, Jr.; her parents, Canio "Kelly" Verrastro and Vita Crescenzia Verrastro (Sabia); her siblings, Domenic (Rose Verrastro), Nicholas (Fran Verrastro), Vito "Willie" (Catherine Verrastro), George Verrastro, Sr. (Mary), Robert Verrastro and Viola (Nicholas LoRusso); and her brother-in-law Frederick "Sonny" Laudisi.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth "Liz" Summa of Rocky Hill, Nancy Summa of Newington, Donna Madigan (Christopher) of Rocky Hill, Diane Savage (Gerald "Jerry") of Rocky Hill and Steven Summa (Sheila); her great grandchild Jameson Gauthier; her sisters, Sister Eleanor Verrastro of Bridgeport and Elaine Laudisi of Wolcott; and her sister-in-law Carmela Verrastro. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
