He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John, Jr. Post and Mary LeCocq Post; his children, Kevin Post (Karen) of Darien and Kristen Dufour (Matt) of Fairfield; his former spouse Gail Post of Milford; his grandchildren, Derek, Emerson, Cormac Post, Ryan and Tyler Dufour; and his siblings, Anne Schweiger of Arizona, Margaret Post of Washington and Thomas Post of California.
It reads, in part, John is "an ardent advocate and practitioner of sustainable living…John inspires us all to tread more lightly on this earth…" The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, a contribution be made to the Litchfield Community Center, the Litchfield Land Trust, or the White Memorial Conservation Center.
