He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Margaret "Peggy" Kallberg; his daughter Karoline S. Levinson (Gregg S. Levinson); his grandchildren, Daniel and Sarah; his great grandchild Olivia; his son Karl M. Shurberg (Deborah A. Shurberg); his grandchildren, Samuel and Rachael; his sister Gladys I. Weissman of Williamsville, NY; his close friend Nancy Wolfson of Stamford, CT.; his sister Barbara Bosco of Novato, CA.; and his parents, Myer Shurberg and Mary Shurberg (Stern).
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Molloy Funeral Home (906 Farmington Ave, West Hartford, CT 06119). A graveside service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at the West Meadow Cemetery (679 Willard Ave, Newington, CT 06111).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hebrew Center.
