He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Simko and Katarzyna Simko (Nowak); his son Jerzy; and his mother-in-law Maria Staron (Gniadek). He is survived by: his wife Boguslawa Simko (Staron); his children, Beata Russo (Thomas) of South Windsor and Christopher Simko of Plainville; his grandsons, Joseph, Michael and Daniel Russo; his siblings, Stanislawa Pawlik (Jan), Janina, Jozefa, Kazimierz, Jan, Tadeusz and Feliks; and his in-laws, Cecilia, Henry Kuras, Janina Zajac (late Richard Zajac), Dorota, Joseph Deptula, Stanislawa and Andrej Paluch. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (158 Broad St, New Britain, CT 06053). A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Sacred Heart Cemetery Chapel (626 Burritt St, New Britain, CT 06053).
