He was predeceased by: his parents, Sebastiano Bascetta and Pasqua Zappulla (Bascetta); his siblings, Santina Bascetta (Vasile), Sebastiano Bascetta, Salvatore Bascetta, Giuseppe Bascetta and Antonino Bascetta; and his siblings-in-law, Pasquale and Lucia Aglieco.
He is survived by: his wife Sebastiana "Nella"; his children, Dr. Richard Bascetta (Andrea Bascetta) and Patricia Blais (Germain Blais); his grandchildren, Tyler Strom, Sabrina Regan (Patrick Regan) and Justine Strom (Michael Wood); his stepgrandsons, Jeffrey Blais, Stephen Blais and Kevin Blais; and his brother-in-law Alfio Nucifora. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
