Cecile D. Tierney Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cecile D. Tierney of Newington, Connecticut, born in Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on November 24, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Villeneuve and Alice Villeneuve (Boucher); her son Gary Tierney of Berlin; her siblings, Germaine Zawadski, Gerard and Donald Villeneuve; her niece Cheryl; and her nephews, Ken and Kevin.

She is survived by: her husband Philip; her children, Scott (Catherine) of New Britain and Joy Nenna (Robert) of Newington; her grandchildren, Lauren, Ryan, Brendan of New Britain, Abigail, Jack of Newington and Sophia of Berlin; her daughter-in-law Nicole Tierney of Berlin; her sister Anita Smith; her brother-in-law William of Farmington; and her friend Nicky. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
