He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rizzo and Veronica "Anne" Rizzo; his wife Mary Rosa; and his brother John. He is survived by: his children, Ann Marie Rosa, John Pastor of Danbury and Richard Rosa (Julianne Tchobanoglous) of Delaware; his grandchildren, John Paul Morabito, Jenna Morabito (Saney Ung), Rachel Rosa and Jacalyn Rosa; his great grandchildren, Nico and Nadia; and his brothers, Frank Rosa and Dennis Rosa.
