He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Apicelli and Carmela Apicelli; his siblings, James, Amedeo, Janette Waller and Florence Wixom; his nephews, Fred Davis and James Chenier; and his godson Ronald Waller.

He is survived by: his wife Audrey; his son John Sr.; his grandsons, Peter and John Jr.; his granddaughter-in-law Jenny; his great grandchildren, John and Julia; and his sister Mary Shelley.
