He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Davies and Leah Davies; his former wife Iris Davies; and his siblings, Edgar Davies Jr, William Clifford Davies, Leah Carroll, Agnes Fogg and Lois Reynolds.
He is survived by: his wife Elsa Davies of New London; his children, Lisa D Valentine, Robert C Davies of Groton, Michael C Davies of Groton and Mark B Davies of Waterford; his stepdaughters, Pamela Hodge of New London and Valerie Hodge-Pierce of Hampton; and his siblings, William David Davies of East Lyme and Sally Montgomery of Mystic. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
