John G. Valakos Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John G. Valakos of New London, Connecticut, who passed away on July 22, 2022 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John G. Valakos to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Valakos and Irene Kavarnos Valakos; his brothers, Peter (Irene) and Spiro (Shirley); and his nephew Dane.
He is survived by: his children, Maria Higgins of New London, Dawn Steffens of Michigan and James Snelgrove of Groton; and his brother James Valakos (Thalia) of Florida. He is also survived by three grandchildren, and a great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers donations in John's name may be made to St. Sophia Hellenic Orthodox Church.
