She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald MacKenzie and Nellie MacKenzie; and her sister Evelyn MacKenzie. She is survived by: her daughter Heather; her son-in-law Joseph "Pepe" Castillo; her sister Elizabeth Patterson (Richard); her grandchildren, Jonathan, Matthew Castillo (Jennifer) and Jessica Castillo-Getchell (Matthew); her great grandchildren, Benjamin, Nicholas, Amelia and Ava; her nephew Donald Patterson (Kathryn); and also, MacKenzie Patterson (Jasmine) and Nathan.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the food bank at Flanders Baptist and Community Church.
