It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Grace Anne Potter of New London, Connecticut, born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 15, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Beaton and Helen Williams Beaton (Williams); her husband William Potter; her sisters, Alice Molloy and Marion Moriarty; and her grandson Noah Potter.
She is survived by: her brother John Beaton (Jack) of Winchester, MA; her children, Susan Wood Alpeter (David) of Essex, William Potter, Jr. of South Berwick, ME, Jane Foye (William) of Beverly, MA, Amy Nixon (Art) of New London and Ellen Gaffney (Robert) of New York, NY.; and her grandchildren, Robert Wood, Amanda Wood Lopardo, Ashley Wood Moore, Khara Potter Mungo, Khristian Potter, Serene Potter Bannon, Irie, Grace Potter, Will Foye, Hugh Foye, Molly Foye Maqueda, Ellen Nixon Basilica, Brian Nixon, Dylan and Jack Gaffney. She is also survived by nine loving great grandchildren and beloved nieces and nephews.
