She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Mitchell and Corrine Mitchell of New London; her husband Nehemias Ortiz; and her siblings, Sandra Hall, Norman, Claire and Louis Mitchell.
She is survived by: her siblings, Rose Weber and William Mitchell; her niece Dawn Mitchell; her godson Anthony Ceteno; and her niece Anessa Sullivan.
