It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Hapis of New London, Connecticut, born in New Britain, Connecticut, who passed away on December 30, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Giagios and Nafsika Giagios (Diafa); her daughter Elaine Hapis-Burke; and her sister Tillie Zingus. She is survived by: her former husband Steve; her husband Irwin Ganson; her children, Jim Hapis (Joan) of Old Lyme, CT and Stephanie Mickle (William) of Old Lyme, CT; her sister Dora Georgeady of Pawcatuck; her grandchildren, Caryn, Elana, Steve and Ben; and her great grandchildren, Colin, Ruby, Miles and Amber. She is also survived by Her family will receive relatives and friends.
