Betty Tate Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 27, 2023, at the age of 76, Betty Tate (New London, Connecticut) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dunk Austin and Mamie Austin; and her brothers, Dunk Sunny Austin Jr., Willie Austin, Harvey Austin and Lucious Austin.

She is survived by: her husband Bernest Tate of New London, Connecticut; her children, Curtis Austin and Frances Tate; her grandchildren, Curtis Austin Jr., Juanita Austin, Soleil Austin and Jessiah Fletcher-Austin of New London, CT; her siblings, Nezzie Bell Austin (Ellis) of Cleveland, Matthew Austin (Agnes) of Cleveland, Perry Austin (Tiffanie) of Eutaw, Napoleon Austin (Sharon) of Eutaw, Mamie Austin (Major) of Eutaw Alabama and Sammie Austin Cleveland (Ilene) of Ohio; and her siblings-in-law, Ernest Tate, Pauline Tate of Mount Olive, NC and Seanice Austin of New London, Connecticut. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
