We are sad to announce that on January 31, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Barbara Lathrop Welsh (New London, Connecticut). You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Richard Thornton and Josephine Lash Lathrop; and her husband Robert Ireton Welsh, Jr.. She was also cherished by five children, eighteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
She grew up during the time of the great Polio pandemic. Her father did not allow her to socialize with many of her friends in close proximity, so to get out and enjoy herself, she spent several hours a day in her sailboat; a form of social distancing acceptable to her parents.
