With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas P. Collins Sr. in New Haven, Connecticut, born in New York, New York, who passed away on December 2, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellen Collins and Edward Collins; and his siblings, Edward Collins, Ellen Collins Moehring and Kathleen Collins Piliero.
He is survived by: his brother Christopher Collins; his wife Joanne B. Collins; his children, Palma J. Collins (Christopher Downey), Alison E. Collins (Gregory Fuchs) and Thomas P. Collins Jr. (Diane Collins); his grandchildren, Christopher Downey, Emily Downey (Taylor Jarrell), John Downey (Samantha Downey), Lucas Collins-Fuchs, Zoe Collins, Sydney Collins and Liam Collins; and his great grandchild Gordon Joseph Downey.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Guilford Funeral Home (115 Church St, Guilford, CT 06437). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the St. Margaret R. C. Church (24 Academy St, Madison, CT 06443).
