Sylvester left this world on July 29, 2024 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyman Hopkins and Roberta Hopkins; and his brothers, James Hopkins, Lyman Hopkins, Jr., Franklin "Frank" Hopkins and Aurthur "Count" Hopkins.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Hopkins; his daughter Deborah Hines (Pete) of Hamden, CT.; his grandchildren, Joy Morrison of Cheshire, CT., Pete Hines (Nickia) of Hamden, CT. and Tiffany Hines of Texas; and his sister Margaret Outley of West Haven, CT.. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
