He was predeceased by: his parents, James Frank Sherman and Helen Roberta Sherman; his sister Helen Regina Sherman; and his aunts, Ruby Jean Hill and Williemae Hill.
He is survived by: his brothers, Michael Earl Sherman and Willie James Sherman of New Haven, CT; his aunts and uncles, Edna Morgan, Eldress Louise Davis (Deacon William Davis), Joseph Sherman and William Blunt Hill Jr.; and his son Maurice Sherman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
