She was predeceased by: her parents, Bishop George H. and Nellie Brooks (Grayson); her son Kerry M. Harris of Hamden, CT; and her siblings, George D., Walter, Charles Brooks, Anna Bowers and Esther Brooks.
She is survived by: her children, Aisha Cheryl Flynn (Abraham) of New Haven, CT, Kevin Basheer Harris (Shayna) of San Diego, CA, Karen M. Howard of Hamden, CT, Kim Dawkins (Sidney) of Hamden, CT, Kristi Harris-Williams of Hamden, CT and Kenyatta Harris (Ethel) of Windsor, CT; and her siblings, Suffragan Bishop Richard Brooks of Hamden, CT, Bishop Theodore L. Brooks (Janice L.) of New Haven, CT and Carol Oliver of New Haven, CT. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Beulah Heights First Pentecostal Church (782 Orchard St, New Haven, CT 06511). A celebration of life was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Cemetery - New Haven (769 Ella T Grasso Blvd, New Haven, CT 06519).
