It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Ingram of New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on January 26, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Deacon Charles Lymas Simmons and Mamie Banister Simmons; her husband James B. Ingram; and her siblings, Charles, Reginald Simmons, Dorothy Redd and Betty Ford.
She is survived by: her children, Renay I. Jihad, Diane M. Bilal, Rev. Cleo D. Graham and James C. Ingram; and her sisters, Mamie Saulsbury, Francis Quint and Shekinah Glory.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Beulah Heights First Pentecostal Church (782 Orchard St, New Haven, CT 06511). A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 1:15 PM at the Hamden Plains Cemetery (246 Circular Ave, Hamden, CT 06514).
