Mae F. Smith Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 22, 2024, at the age of 93, Mae F. Smith of New Haven, Connecticut, born in Sellers, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Omeana Jones and Thomas Jones Sr.; and her husband Ernest James Smith Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Richard Smith (Venita) of San Diego, CA, Darryl Smith (Sonja) of Lutzenberg, Germany, Denise Lee (Ronnie) of New Haven, CT, Vanessa Santos (Robert) of Hamden, CT and Michele Smith of New Haven, CT; and her nieces, Stephanie Jones of Hamden, CT, Dawn Coston of New Haven, CT, Lilly Bethea, Gloria Bethea, Jeanette Bethea, Brenda Bethea, Janice Sullivan and Lazelle Mullings. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Faith Church (104 Fairmont Ave, New Haven, CT 06513). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
