She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Shmigelsky and Charlotte (Voss); and her nephew Hans David Shmigelsky. She is survived by: her son Sparky Shmigelsky (Amy Beauchemin) of Wallingford; her granddaughters, Charlotte and Emilia; her brothers, Hans Peter Shmigelsky (Anita) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Roy Shipley of Jacksonville, NC; her niece Erika Meyers (John); her great-nephew John Peter; her niece Christina Killman (Ian); her great-niece Lila; and her nephew Cameron Shipley.
