He was predeceased by: his father James Harris, Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Cora Lee Harris of Clayton, NC; his children, Tonya Marlin (James) of Raleigh, NC, James Matthew Irby of New Milford, NJ, Corey Beaty of Lyndhurst, NJ and Sabrina Dianne Harris of Meriden, CT.; his siblings, Jessie Jordan of Richmond, VA, Elenora Fulmore of Passaic, NJ, Dianne Heckstall (John) of Middletown, CT, Sharon Blanks of Belleville, NJ, Cora Gibson (Russell) of Clayton, NC, Eddie Harris of Ahoskie, NC and Robert Harris of Middletown, CT; his grandchildren, Sadee Irby, James Irby, Jr., Stephen Jailon Gibert and Joshua Alexander Marlin; his great grandchild Laila Milani Gibert; and his close friend Angie Andrews. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
