He was predeceased by: his parents, Israel O. Russell and Alberta Gaylor Russell; his wife Earnestine Bromell; and his siblings, David Israel, Sidney Scott, Ivor, William Aubrey (Billy), Gerald Russell, Ruby Hazel Slade, Mary Simone Russell, Muriel Carr and Violet Russell.
He is survived by: his sister Lora Russell (Pie) of New Haven. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
