She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Hampton and Hazel Hampton; her siblings, Walter, Everett Jr., Lucille and Pricilla; and her brother-in-law Edward Chase.
She is survived by: her sisters, Hope and Carolyn; her children, Stephanie Burgess (Bruce), Gretchen Vaughn (Earl) and Edward Chase II (Thandi); and her grandchildren, Christopher, Jieyoni, Sterling, Nia, Natalie, Kamille, Jasmine and Arianna. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.
