She was predeceased by: her parents, Dudley McDowell and Adline Butts McDowell; her husband James A. Foster; her son Keith; and her siblings, Viola Morrow (New Haven), Essie Smith, Francis McDowell, Katherine Perdue of Thelouizs English, L. Z, James and Charles Gomez.
She is survived by: her children, James (Jay) and Kathy Lynn; and her great grandchild Jayana. She is also survived by eight great great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church (1324 Chapel St, New Haven, CT 06511). A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Beaverdale Memorial Park (90 Pine Rock Ave, New Haven, CT 06515).
