She was predeceased by: her parents, Mackie McClary and Elizabeth McClary (Malloy); her sister Althea "Brenda" McClary; and her grandmother Janie McClary. She is survived by: her husband George N. Blackwell, II; her children, Georgie N. Blackwell, III (Andrea), Harry E. Blackwell, Daryeal J. Murphy, Jr., Dylan W. Blackwell and Alexis J. Murphy; her brother Michael A. McClary; her niece Shamay M. Ampadu (Roland); her close friend Toni Brown; her siblings, Bruce Pratt and Wanda Morton; and her godchildren, Scott and Chaela. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grands; 3 sisters-in-law; 3 brothers-in-law.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the St. Matthews Unison Free Will Baptist Church (400 Dixwell Ave, New Haven, CT 06511). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Beaverdale Memorial Park (90 Pine Rock Ave, New Haven, CT 06515).
