She is survived by: her children, Nina Denby of New Haven, CT, William Denby of Meriden, CT, Shardeena Deby of Hamden, CT, John Denby of New Haven, CT, Willesha Garvin of New Haven, CT, Sundiata Garvin of Hamden, CT, Oshkosh Garvin of New Haven, CT, Willie Garvin Jr. of New Haven, CT and Walnaesha Teabout of New Haven, CT.; her brothers, Sundiata Keitazulu (Stephanie), Paul Denby and Phillip Denby; her aunts, Lula Woodson and Martha Conyers; her uncle Ronald Brown; her godchildren, L'Tanya Brooks-Draughn, Shakima Carlet Keitazulu, Malinda Draughn and Brandon Roach; and her cousin Troy Maceo Streater. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pitts Chapel (64 Brewster St, New Haven, CT 06511). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
