He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Lee Mckoy and Gladys Inez B. Mckoy; his brother Syvester Parker; and his grandson James Brown III. He is survived by: his wife Eula Mckoy; his children, Barbara Crockett (Mabry), Chiffon Young (John), Sharon Crockett, Nitchka Brown (Arron), Melvin Crockett of Hartford, CT, Judge Crockett Jr. of New Haven and Graylin Crockett (Natalie) of West Haven, CT; his goddaughter Nakitta Brown; and his siblings, Raymond L. Mckoy of Wilmington, NC, Peggy D. Mapson (Otis) of Leland, NC and Evangelist Pamela M. Perry of Roanoke Rapids, NC.. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great, great granddaughter. And a host of nieces and nephews and cousins.
