He was predeceased by: his wife Martha A. Ligon; his parents, George W. Ligon, Sr. and Gussie Finley Ligon; and his siblings, George W. Jr., Albert, David, Clarence, Ernest, Cora, Clara and Mildred.
He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Manuel (Darnell) of Hamden, CT; his stepson Michael Beasley of Spotsylvania, VA; and his sisters, Mozell Jenny Lewis and Allie Mae Latimer of Laurens, SC. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
