We are sad to announce that on March 16, 2021, at the age of 95, Walter A. Schmidt of New Hartford, Connecticut, born in Holyoke, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schmidt and Christine Schmidt (Rech); and his brother Ozwald Schmidt. He is survived by: his daughters, Caren O'Brien (Michael) of Hopkinton, MA, Christine DePiano (Patrick) of Colchester and Patti Fensham (Christopher) of Manalapan, NJ; his grandchildren, Michael DePiano, Maresa Welch (Thomas), Lauren Levinson (Jared) and Andrew Fensham (Mary); his great grandchildren, Alyana, Mason Welch, Nicholas, Luke, Alexa DePiano, Abigail, Hudson Levinson, Leo and Todd Fensham; and his wife Esther. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
