With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph J. Mangione (New Hartford, Connecticut), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 17, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Joseph may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Mangione and Ermenia Mangione; and his daughter Leila Mangione. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Mangione (Betty Ann Garafalo); his daughters, Eve Sway (William) of Winsted and Dawn Arel (Larry); and his grandchildren, Jesse Sway (Brittney), Casey Keefe (Brent) and Jennifer Pregno (Devon) of Thomaston. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
