He was predeceased by: his parents, Ann Morgan (Sweet Pea) and Joseph G. Ward Sr.; and his sister Nancy Ward. He is survived by: his wife Dianne Ward (Hartley); his sons, Joe (Joey) and Gary Ward; his stepson Tim West; his daughters, Krystal and Heather Ward; his nieces and nephews, Lindsey and JC Bales; his grandchildren, Aubrey Dalrymple, Brooke-Lynne, Ryder, Gary Alan, Joseph, Annabelle Ward, Connor and Paislee West; and his pet Jackson Ward.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
