It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Callahan of New Fairfield, Connecticut, who passed away on January 14, 2024, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Maria Callahan to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Felix Sadowski and Sadie Sadowski (Kaminski); her siblings, Victor Sadowski and Eleanora Sadowski Dunn; and her significant other's daughters, Maria Callahan and Dorothy Lathrop.
She is survived by: her significant other James F. Callahan; her significant other's children, Joan Lachowicz of Bellevue, Gregory Callahan of New Fairfield, James Callahan of New Fairfield and Patricia Bowers of New Milford, Connecticut.; her daughter Patty; and her granddaughters, Julia and Kimberly. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions made to Regional Hospice of Danbury Ct or to The New Fairfield Animal Welfare Society in her memory.
