He was predeceased by: his parents, Heinrich Schiffler and Barbara Schiffler (Hoffmann); and his siblings, Elisabeth Holzmüller, Sofia Hoffmann, Katharina Schurr, Johann and Heinrich Schiffler.
He is survived by: his wife Magdalena Schiffler (Kirchhoffer); his daughter Rosemarie Petschauer (Karl); his grandson Thomas Petschauer (Melissa Cameron Petschauer); and his sister Johanna Stutzmann. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
All in attendance at the funeral mass are asked to wear a mask.
