JoAnn Cioffi Dzubak Obituary

JoAnn Cioffi Dzubak, 97, formerly of New Fairfield, CT, died on September 5, 2024 at Mozaic Senior Life in Bridgeport. Born in Norwalk, the youngest of ten, to the late Nicandro and Anna (Ciullo) Cioffi, she was also predeceased by her husband Edward Dzubak and her siblings.

As a member of the Norwalk High School honor society, she graduated with the class of 1945. She worked for the Law Offices of Santaniello Culhane and Allen for many years and retired from Norwalk Probate Court.

JoAnn enjoyed American History, politics, old movies, new clothes, the NY Yankees, UConn women's basketball, and her life with family and friends.

She is survived by her children, JoAnn Elizabeth Dzubak of Norwalk and Edward S. Dzubak and his wife Sharon Epstein of Redding, as well as numerous loving nieces and nephews whom she cherished.

Her family would like to acknowledge the comforting visits she received from Deacon Patrick Shelvin of St. Edward the Confessor Parish and the deep friendship of Rosemary and Bob Peck, which sustained her. We also acknowledge the loving hands of all who attended to her needs and did so with the utmost honor, dignity and grace.

Her family will receive friends from 8:30-9:30 AM on Friday, Sept. 13 at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk, with her Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 AM, at St. Mary Church, 669 West Avenue, Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
