He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Grace of Kearny, NJ; his children, Cathy Edwards (Pat Ovington) of Greenville, SC, Tom Edwards (Gina) of New Fairfield, CT, Sharon Matt of Wilmington, NC and Cindy Sheehan (Steve) of Cumming, GA.; his grandchildren, Ross, Tyler (Wynne Morris), Marshall "Riley" Ovington, Katie, Allison, Kristen Edwards, Natasha Matt, Grace, Sarah, James and Jessica Sheehan; and his parents, Ernest and Anne Edwards. He was also cherished by friends, and continued to visit with children and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Hospice. Please earmark these donations to the Veterans Memorial Garden in honor of Marshall Edwards.
