He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Barbara O'Connor Whitcomb and James Henry Whitcomb; his wife Barbara Fishbein Whitcomb; his children, Jonathan P. Whitcomb (Rachel) of New Canaan, CT and Andrea L. Whitcomb of Holyoke, MA; his grandchildren, Victoria, Joseph, Shannon, Richard, Elizabeth, Emily and Harrison; his sister Barbara Jean Stoughton of York Beach, Maine.; his nephew Dick; his brother James Whitcomb; and his grandfather Irish.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the George Washington Carver Center.
